Remark by Janssens, F. 2016.12.26: Yoshii & Suhardjono, 1989 defined Willowsiini as a tribe of Entomobryidae. In this checklist, the polyphyletic scaled Entomobryinae sensu Zhang et al, 2016 are maintained at subfamily level mainly for convenience. |
Remark by Ellis, W.N. & Bellinger, P.F. 1973:28: Nicolet, 1847 described new species from Chile. These are also described by Nicolet in Gay, 1851[lapsus for Nicolet in Gay, 1849]. But in the first paper Nicolet cites as author of the species Nicol. in Gay. Evidently the publications appeared in a reversed order. |

Remark by Janssens, F. 2021.05.14: According to the etymology : "The species is named after the region in which it was collected". Hence the name is a toponym. However, the name 'ducke' refers to the 'Amazhomidia, the Ducke' not to the Amazhomidia of the region Ducke' as intended. This meaning does not match the etymology. This mismatch is clear evidence of an inadvertent error that must be corrected (Art.32.5.1). 'duckeensis' refers to 'of the region Ducke' in line with the etymology. |
