Remark by Janssens, F. 2020.08.20: According to the etymology (p.19) : "The species name signifies yet another new species in the genus." However, the genitive 'additae' refers to '*of* the added Entomobrya'. This meaning does not match the etymology. This mismatch is clear evidence of an inadvertent error that must be corrected (Art.32.5.1). 'addita' refers to 'the added Entomobrya' in line with the etymology.

Remark by Ellis, W.N. & Bellinger, P.F. 1973:28: Nicolet, 1847 described new species from Chile. These are also described by Nicolet in Gay, 1851[lapsus for Nicolet in Gay, 1849]. But in the first paper Nicolet cites as author of the species Nicol. in Gay. Evidently the publications appeared in a reversed order.

Species decora (Nicolet, H, 1847:370) Brook, G, 1884:280

Remark by Ellis, W.N. & Bellinger, P.F. 1973:28: Nicolet, 1847 described new species from Chile. These are also described by Nicolet in Gay, 1851[lapsus for Nicolet in Gay, 1849]. But in the first paper Nicolet cites as author of the species Nicol. in Gay. Evidently the publications appeared in a reversed order.

Remark by Janssens, F. 2020.08.20: According to the etymology (p.42) : "Imbre meaning spray referring to method of collecting holotype.", it was the intention of the authors that the new name refers to 'Entomobrya (being collected by) fogging'. The name 'imbre' does not match the etymology given it simply refers to 'Entombrya, the spray'. This mismatch is clear evidence of an inadvertent error that must be corrected (Art.32.5.1). 'imbrens' refers to 'the Entomobrya, (collected by) spraying' which is in line with the etymology.

Remark by Janssens, F. 2020.08.20: According to the etymology (p.50) : "Named for the occasion and site on which it was collected i.e. a picnic ground.", it was the intention of the authors that the new name refers to 'Entomobrya (collected) from a picnic ground'. However the new name 'ludimus' does not match the etymology given it does not refer to a picnic site but refers to 'I play'; from 'ludere' 'to play'. This mismatch is clear evidence of an inadvertent error that must be corrected (Art.32.5.1). In analogy with 'montana' 'from the mountain' or 'sylvana' 'from the forest', the name could have been 'picnicana' 'from a picnic'. But in the playful style of the authors 'ludens' (='playing') might do as well.

Remark by Janssens, F. 2020.08.23: According to the etymology (p.55) : "The species name refers to the colour and name given by Womersley." The name given by Womersley (1934) is 'nigrella'. However, this name is preoccupied by Latzel (1917) for E. arvensis var. nigrella. The authors proposed the replacement name 'niger' but failed to declare the nomenclatural act 'nom.nov.' (Art.16.1). In addition this new name does not match the gender of the genus name (Art.31.2). This mismatch is clear evidence of an inadvertent error that must be corrected (Art.32.5.1). The new name should have been 'nigra'. However, the name 'nigra' is preoccupied by Uchida (1954) for E. multifasciata f. nigra. Therefore we propose as replacement name 'nigris'.

Remark by Janssens, F. 2020.08.21: According to the etymology (p.59) : "Named for the completeness of its chaetotaxy.", it was the intention of the authors that the new name refers to 'Entomobrya having a complete chaetotaxy'. However the new name 'potterae' does not match the etymology given it does not refer to it in any sensible way. Neither do the incorrect subsequent spellings 'pateri' and 'paterae' on p.59. This mismatch and incorrect spellings are clear evidence of an inadvertent error (lapsus calami) that must be corrected (Art.32.5.1). To stick as close as possible to the originally proposed name, we declare herewith 'potterus/pottera/potterum' as a new latin adjective meaning 'complete'.

Remark by Janssens, F. 2020.08.22: According to the etymology (p.61) : "Named for the prominent rock formation on which the species was found.", it was the intention of the authors that the new name refers to the 'Entomobrya which was found on a prominent rock formation' or shorter the 'Entomobrya from a prominent rock formation'. However the new name 'promontorium' does not match the etymology given it simply refers to 'Entomobrya, the promontory'. This mismatch is clear evidence of an inadvertent error that must be corrected (Art.32.5.1). In analogy with 'montana' 'from the mountain' or 'sylvana' 'from the forest', the name 'promontoriana' refers to 'from the promontory' in line with the etymology.
