Remark by Janssens, F. 2023.12.14: According to the etymology, the intention of the authors was to name the new species in memoriam of Dr. Kenneth A. Christiansen (KAC). The authors intention was to honour Dr Christiansen with a new species name as in "the Szeptyckitheca (in honour) of KAC". However, "Szeptyckitheca kac" means "the Szeptyckitheca (called) KAC". This semantic mismatch is clear evidence of an inadvertent error that must be corrected (Art.32.5.1). The patronym "kaci" referring to "of KAC" is in line with the etymology.
